Available Photo Software

Photo software can do some amazing things to digital photographs.  There is a lot of photo software available for download at Download.com.

When I looked for photo software at Download.com, I filtered the results by the operating system I use on my computer, Windows XP, and then I sorted the results so that I could read the CNET editor’s reviews of their favorite photo software downloads.

Paint Shop Pro 10.0 topped the list of CNET editor’s favorite photo software downloads.  The editor’s review praised Paint Shop Pro 10.0 because it features a straightforward, sleek interface that offers more automatic options for the most common photo-editing and organizing tasks.

An interesting download came up in my search for photo software.  I sorted the results of my search on Download.com to have top user-rated result appear first.  The first item that displayed was Tao Quote 1.0.  This isn’t photo software, but I found it interesting anyway.

Tao Quote 1.0 has been downloaded 5,859 times and is published by About the Tao.  I read a review by a user and he said that the photos and accompanying quotes are inspirational and the best way to start the day.  I think that this product came up in my search for photo software because of the photos that are part of the application.

FirmTools makes photo software that facilitates making albums from digital photos.  Their product, Album Creator Pro 3.5, includes a simple FTP client that lets you upload the finished album to your Web site.  User reviews proclaim that this photo software is easy to use and has many templates.

The FirmTools product Album Creator Pro 3.5 is photo software that is free to try.  If you decide to buy this photo software, the cost is $39.95.  The only complaint that looked valid to me about this software is that the interface has gray font on a gray background making it a chore to read.
